She was born in the early seventies. Her artistic talent and passion was apparent at a very early age, drawing and painting whenever possible. She earned a National Diploma in Graphic Design and Illustration at Bradford and Ilkey Collage and a BA Honors In Design For Communication Media from the University of Manchester. Based in Shipley, Sharon works from home. She works with a variety of media including watercolors, oils, pastels, photography and a several digital applications. Sharon’s career started as a Graphic Designer successfully working with and on behalf of some very well known international brands. However, her ambition had always been to be a professional artist/Illustrator. Fortunately for her, a local publishing house were scouting for freelance artists. This gave Sharon eight years of valuable experience within the very competitive market of greetings cards. In 2018 Sharon had full page editorial on her work in the Progressive Greetings magazine. She has recently extended her style to encompass a more “realistic” approach. Picturesque landscapes, farm scenes, still life are brought to life by her personal touch and love for light, composition, color palettes and nature.
